Terms of Use

These terms describe use of the Golf is Life app and website, including accounts, golf records and subscriptions. Please read them with our Privacy Policy and the purchase details shown by your billing provider.

1. Accounts and responsible use

Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in details secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. Use the service lawfully and respectfully. Do not impersonate another person, access someone else's account without permission, interfere with the service or upload unlawful content. If you cannot legally agree to a purchase yourself, obtain the authorization required by applicable law and your billing provider.

2. Your content and privacy

You retain your rights in the photos, scorecards and other content you submit. Only upload material you are entitled to use and share. You authorize the processing and display needed to provide the features you request, consistent with the Privacy Policy and the visibility and consent controls available in the app. Uploading content does not transfer ownership to Golf is Life.

Round and group sharing is separate from private player insights. Review the relevant visibility settings before sharing information about yourself or others. The Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling, analytics permissions, retention and how to request account deletion.

3. Free and Premium access

Free Starter includes three full rounds in total. It is not a recurring free subscription or a promise of a paid trial. Premium provides the features described on the pricing screen for your selected plan, including unlimited rounds and additional league and performance features while access is active. A pending payment does not itself activate Premium.

Review the price, currency, billing period and any offer conditions before confirming a purchase. Native app prices come from the relevant store and may differ from website prices. We do not promise a particular improvement in your golf performance, uninterrupted connectivity or permanent availability of every course or third-party map.

4. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

Where you purchase an auto-renewing subscription, it renews for the period and price disclosed by the billing provider unless cancelled under that provider's process. Any trial or introductory offer applies only if it is explicitly offered to you at checkout. Check your existing subscription before purchasing through a different platform.

• iPhone and iPad: In-app purchases use Apple billing through RevenueCat. Payment and renewal are handled through your Apple Account. Manage or cancel through your Apple subscription settings; follow the cancellation timing shown by Apple. See Apple's cancellation instructions. Apple's standard app EULA applies to the app licence unless a custom EULA is provided through the App Store. This page does not replace that licence.
• Android: In-app purchases use Google Play billing through RevenueCat. Manage or cancel through the Google Play account used to subscribe. See Google Play's subscription instructions.
• Website: Checkout uses Paystack. Review the recurring payment details shown before authorizing payment. Use any subscription-management instructions provided with your payment, or contact app.golfislife@gmail.com for cancellation assistance, quoting your payment reference. Do not send passwords or full card details.

Uninstalling the app, signing out or requesting account deletion does not itself cancel billing with a store or payment provider. Cancel the subscription separately. The provider's subscription status identifies when access ends; any additional cancellation rights under applicable law remain available. The native Restore purchases action checks for an existing eligible store entitlement; it does not create a new subscription.

5. Billing concerns, refunds and consumer rights

For an Apple purchase, use Apple's purchase support. For a Google Play purchase, see Google Play's refund guidance. For website payments or help identifying a charge, contact our support email. Eligibility depends on the circumstances, the relevant provider's rules and applicable law; this page does not impose a blanket no-refund policy.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. This includes applicable South African consumer protections under the Consumer Protection Act and Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, and applicable protections in other countries. Mandatory rights take precedence over conflicting wording here or in a purchase description. Contacting support does not prevent you from approaching an appropriate regulator or exercising a legal remedy.

6. Golf, maps and performance information

GPS distances, maps, club suggestions, extracted scorecards, statistics and handicap calculations are informational tools. Accuracy depends on device signals, course data and recorded inputs; check important information and correct errors. Follow course signage, local rules and competition requirements, and use your own judgment before playing a shot. The app does not replace official score verification or a competition organizer's decisions.

Updates to these terms will be identified by the date above. Any change to an existing purchase remains subject to applicable law and required billing-provider notices or consent; publishing revised wording does not remove accrued consumer rights.
